    Put your Computer Support experience to work as the Systems Support Technician at Crown Automotive Group in St. Petersburg, FL!

    The Crown Automotive Group is looking for a pleasant, technically savvy person who can handle a busy IT Help Desk and comfortably multi-task.   



    Experience/Qualifications include:

    • Prefer prior experience working in a multi-tasking environment where better than average verbal and written communication skills are beneficial
    • Basic Windows and iOS knowledge and experience required
    • PC and printer troubleshooting skills required
    • Prior auto dealership experience a plus, but not necessary. 
    • Any experience with these systems beneficial: 
      • Spiceworks, Active Directory, Exchange, CDK, eLead, vAuto, NEC phone systems, and Microsoft Imaging System (MDT and WDS). 
    • Knowledge and experience in Dealership Management Systems (DMS) is a big plus!
    • Attention to detail very important.



    Must have reliable transportation that can be used to travel to auto dealerships within a 10 mile radius. 

    • Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. 
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

    Crown, celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2019, is very active in our community and offers many volunteer opportunities including:

    • Respond to requests for support from employees in all departments.  Requests to our IT Help Desk come in the form of phone calls, emails, intercompany mail, and onsite visits. 
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
    • Evaluate, test, document, and recommend operating procedures to users.
    • Design, develop and update Crown IT support documentation.
    • Be available to participate in IT’s on-call duties on a rotating basis, including working an occasional Tuesday through Saturday schedule.
    • Attend department meetings as requested.
    • Report any safety issues immediately to management.
    • Comply with all policies as described in the Crown Employee Handbook.
    • Other duties may be assigned, based on company’s needs.



    In addition to the Experience/Qualifications mentioned above, we are also looking for:



    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
    • Any IT-related Certificates helpful


    Technical or Administrative Knowledge: 

    • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office is very helpful
    • Pleasant and professional telephone skills are required
    • Good documentation skills are important
    • Strong communication skills are necessary to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
    • Ability to:
      • Perform mathematical functions as necessary
      • Apply concepts - fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
      • Define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions


    Special Skills/Abilities: 

    • Exceptional teamwork skills.
    • Able to handle stress and problems effectively and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations
    • Attention to detail required for effectively describing issue to be resolved
    • Ability to learn  new systems and create support documentation for future reference
    • Ability to explain technical problems and procedures in non-technical terms to Crown employees
    • Able to participate in a rotational schedule that will include working one or more Tuesday thru Saturday schedules each month
    • Able to participate in a rotational on-call schedule to handle after-hours support requests.  The typical length of each on-call period is 7 days. The On-Call cellphone is normally exchanged on Monday or Tuesday each week.
    • Must maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
    • Ability to meet US employment and Crown’s eligibility requirements
